2012 ~ Time To Grow-up

You can probably tell from what I've written about UFOs, Aliens, and the like, my progression to this point. It is not unlike the progression we as a people have taken from our past, to this point, this wonderful point in our evolution or growth. We are growing up.

I am so happy to be alive to see this transition, and to see our neighboring planets lined up again after many thousands of years, and to see, or feel, the repercussions of such an event on the 21st of December. Who says we're finished evolving!

There was a time that I was paranoid and thought the world was going to end, ten days before my birthday. I heard about the Mayan Calendar, saw a few 'dooms day' videos on YouTube, and, I'm embarrassed to say, watched a few movies from Hollywood, like they were documentaries, thinking they knew something other than how to make fantasies. I did, however, enjoy 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind,' 'ET' was too childish for me but not beyond belief, but Close Encounters, I figured, was close to how it will be. Nice and peaceful, other than shitting our pants. No monsters from outer space eating us, just beings close to us, here to help us on our journey, as they've always been. And they will certainly be here, in some way, on that 'far-out' day, in four months.

Talk about monsters from outer space, I am sorry I even set my sights on the movies 'War of the Worlds' and 'Alien' and 'Independence Day' or any others like it. It isn't logical, and I don't need the fear. Can't even understand Spielberg doing War of the Worlds after Close Encounters and ET. Had to check it a few times to make sure. His message is quite different, quite horrifyingly different. Did he run out of weed and had to hit the bath salts? I think he did a disservice to the public with that one, kind a like his 'Jaws' movies; scared to go in the water, now be scared to look up in the sky. I know fear sells more than peaceful flicks, look at all the horror flicks, and allot of them play the 'alien card' to make sure they get a blockbuster, but it's not healthy, nor is it helping us grow-up and evolve.

Our inflated fear of them has kept them further away from us. They don't want to scare us. But it is allot different these days. Our belief system is changing for the better, and thus evolving, and thus growing up, and thus able to handle such information without freaking out, like we did when we heard 'The War of the Worlds' episode of the American Radio drama, on Halloween no less, in 1938.

For the first two thirds of the sixty minute broadcast it was presented as a series of simulated news bulletins, which suggested to many listeners that an actual alien invasion was currently in progress. Compounding this issue was the fact that there were no commercial breaks, adding to the programs realism. It caused widespread outrage, panic, and some suicides.

In the universe of Star Trek, the Prime Directive, Starfleet's General Order #1, is the most prominent guiding principle of the United Federation of Planets. The Prime Directive dictates that there can be no interference with the internal development of alien civilizations.
It has special implications, however, for civilizations that have not yet developed the technology for interstellar spaceflight ("pre-warp"), since no primitive culture can be given or exposed to any information regarding advanced technology or the existence of extraplanetary civilizations, lest this exposure alter the natural development of the civilization. Although this was the only application stated by Captain Kirk in "The Return of the Archons", by the 24th Century, it had been indicated to include purposeful efforts to improve or change in any way the natural course of such a society, even if that change is well-intentioned and kept completely secret.

(June 2012) National Geographic polls conclude that thirty six percent of Americans, Eighty million people, believe UFO exist. A tenth of that believe they have seen a real UFO from outer space.

(January 2006) Poll reveals that 34% believe in UFOs and Aliens.

(June 1997) Nearly 50 years since the 'alleged' UFO crash and sighting at Roswell, New Mexico, a CNN poll shows that 80 percent of Americans, not counting Europeans, think the government is hiding knowledge of the existence of extraterrestrial life forms.

Never before in the history of our times have UFOs and Aliens been in the forefront of our culture, as they are today. One is more apt to laugh at the UFO question if they don't agree, or don't let themselves agree, rather than going off the deep end and panic, run for the hills, run to church, or contemplate suicide, as what happened in 1938. I mean like, hello, now we have three reality programs on TV. One on The History Channel called The UFO Hunter. One on National Geographic called 'Chasing UFOs, and they also have the program 'Ancient Aliens.' And one on the SyFy Channel called 'Destination Truth.'

What do you think is happening here on Earth, people? Are you going to keep brushing it off as some kind of crazy coincidence? Or are we already starting to get ready without really knowing it consciously?  Even the new crop circles, like the one pictured above, are filling us in. Do you actually think they would go to all this trouble and help us if all they wanted to do was to eat us? ...............NOT !

RUSSIA PANICS OVER MAYAN APOCALYPSE: Reacting to conspiracy theorists who think that the long-awaited Mayan apocalypse on Dec. 21 will come true, Russians have begun buying supplies, building strange archways, and otherwise losing their minds. But hold on to your fur hats, Russian officials said last week. The minister of emergency situations announced that he has “methods of monitoring what is occurring on the planet earth,” and there is no need to fear. It’s not just Mother Russia that has had to deal with Mayan fever, however—from France to Mexico, people have begun acting strangely in response to the ancient prediction.
